Roots (or lobe) pumps of the VORTEX (without bypass valve) and VORTEX B (with bypass valve) series are of the vacuum pump type in which a pair of lobe rotors rotate synchronously at high speed. As they rotate, they produce suction and exhaust, as they operate at a lower pressure, the distance between the lobes is much smaller.
